Gas Grills on Sale

It pays to do your research before you buy your new gas grill.  By checking store ads and the internet you can usually find a gas grill on sale at a good price.  The price you pay will depend on the complexity of the grill that you require.  A basic cast iron grill with two multi-position grids will cost around $40 at normal retail but can often be found on sale for around $25.00.  A more sophisticated model that allows you to use two separate levels for barbequing meats at a higher BTU rating will sell at retail for $100-$150 can often be found on sale for around $75-$80.

You can also find more complex grills on sale if you search.  At times you can find yourself a 450 sq. inch cooking area gas grill with three stainless steel burners and a 36,00,000 BTU for around $700.00. These grills regularly retail in the $1200.00-$1400.00 range. Other features found in gas grills in this range are infrared rotisserie, temperature ignition knobs and a gleaming stainless steel body.

With enough patience you can find stainless steel gas grill islands that normally retail in excess of $4000.00 for $2500.00-$3500.00, depending on the brand and the time of year.  These high end gas grill islands are loaded with features sought by individuals looking to upgrade their grilling equipment.  Stores often run these sales to compete with internet vendors and to sell the accessories that are always purchased with a new gas grill.  If you see a good price on the internet print it out and ask your local store manager if he will match the price.  You may be surprised how often they will match prices to keep you from shopping elsewhere.

Another good source of gas grills on sale are gas grill web sites which often feature auctions or sales to attract customers.  Large stores also have close out sales to move dated merchandise and to make room for the next seasonal item.  Manufacturers encourage stores to run these sales to build brand recognition in the lower end price range of their products, knowing that when the customer upgrades to a higher end gas grill they will usually buy the same brand.  So sales at the lower end price range results in higher sales numbers for the higher end products as the customers upgrade their grilling equipment.

There is generally a reason why gas grills are placed on sale.  It may be the end of the normal grilling season, excess inventory of a particular model, change in style of the new grills or simply that the store requires the space for a different seasonal item.  Regardless of the reason you can find bargains if you are not concerned with the latest style or are willing to buy at the end of the normal season.

You have everything you need for your Labor Day outing. You have food, drinks, yard games and maybe even a pool. Everything's going to be perfect. However, you can't decide on just one thing: Whether a gas barbeque grill is superior to a coal burning grill? They must be better, right? They cost more. However, when it comes down to which is better, there's no right answer. Everyone has their preference. You could hear arguments from both sides and you'll likely never come to a conclusion between them because both will have great points. You have to decide if a gas barbeque grill is for you, not for anyone else. Once you make the decision you can start shopping for gas grills on sale at your local retailers.

Faster And More Efficient

The first thing people will tell you about a gas barbeque grill is that it heat faster, cooks faster and it cooks more thoroughly and efficiently than if that meat is cooked on a regular, coal burning grill. You don't have to wait for it to warm up. You turn a lever and it's hot. That's why many people love gas grills. It's frustrating trying to light a charcoal grill with a lighter only to find it won't light, and it does take an awfully long time to heat. But then again, some people out there say they can taste the difference in the meat cooked with a gas barbeque grill and they prefer regular coal any day.

Does It Taste Different?

It may be that the taste that these people deem is different is all in their heads. Just like a natural gas grill, a gas barbeque grill is using a gas that is tasteless and odorless. However, an odor is accompanied by the gas artificially in order to detect leaks. This odor is so miniscule, though, that it's unlikely to affect the taste of the meat itself. It very well could alter the taste of the meat, however, as anyone who has ever used hickory charcoal or some other coal that's designed to give meat a different taste can attest to. Some taste a difference and some don't, and you'll likely find both camps equal in number.

The main benefits of gas grills compared to charcoal versions are:

    * Venue - Charcoal grills are banned in many places now.   Gas grills can be used in any location that allows cooking.
    * Timesaving - It takes time to get the charcoal started plus time for the coals to heat to proper temperature.  Gas grills light immediately and are generally ready to use in five minutes.
    * Greater Convenience - Gas grills can be turned off once you have finished grilling.  Charcoal grills present a problem in that it takes time for the charcoal to burn itself out after you finish grilling plus it is messy to dispose of the remaining coals.
    * Greater Control - With a gas grill you can have precise control over the cooking temperature so you can time the food to be ready when you need it and are less likely to overcook or burn the food.
    * More Features - Gas grills often offer you convenient features such as side burners to cook other foods and rotisseries to grill chicken, etc.

The fact is, there is no right way to choose between a gas barbeque grill and a regular coal burning grill. Both will cook the food adequately, one may just do it a little faster than the other. It call comes down to convenience and money. Do you want the convenience of being able to turn the flame on and off at will, instead of waiting for it to cool down as the embers burn themselves out, as well as having the freedom of being able to adjust the temperature? If you want to spring for the extra money, the perks are well worth it. But if you're more of a traditional type of person and you prefer your coal, there's nothing wrong with that at all. The food still tastes great no matter what type of grill it's cooked on.

If you wait to the end of the grilling season you can find great deals on grills on sale at your local retailer. If you don't want to wait then shop the internet where you will often find name brands discounted from their regular sales price.
